Household Hints & Tips #6: How To Reduce Salt In A Recipe Or Stew

If you've added too much salt to a recipe: Add a bit of sugar to the ingredients and then mix well.


 If a stew or soup is too salty, add a peeled, half potato piece which will absorb the salt. Cook and remove the potato.


Otherwise, make another batch of approximate equal size, with no salt added, and mix this batch to the salty batch. Serve half and freeze half for later consumption!
